Hospitals

Our acute-care hospitals are recognized for excellence in emergency care, high-risk obstetrical and neonatal care, cardiac and vascular interventional care, oncology care, behavioral health services and a number of specialized surgeries, as well as services for children.

Rehabilitation

Our inpatient rehabilitation hospitals and outpatient clinics offer personalized, specialty care including Cardiac Rehabilitation, Amputee Rehabilitation, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy and Cancer/Lymphedema Therapy.

Mental Health Services

Adventist HealthCare is Maryland’s second largest provider of mental health services and serves the Washington, D.C., region with:

  • Inpatient hospital care and outpatient care for children, adolescents, adults and seniors

  • A partial hospitalization program for those who need intensive, structured treatment but not 24-hour care

  • The Lourie Center for Children’s Social and Emotional Wellness, offering pioneering school programs, clinics and research for families with children from birth to age 12 experiencing behavioral, developmental, emotional and social challenges

  • The Ridge School, a special education day school including clinical and behavioral services for students in grades 6 through 12 

  • The Manor, an assisted living facility for adults with chronic and severe mental illness who are unable to live independently

Cancer Care

The Shady Grove Adventist Aquilino Cancer Center in Rockville and the White Oak Cancer Center in Silver Spring provide comprehensive, whole-person care for physical, emotional and spiritual health. Patients and their family members are invited to participate in wellness services provided free of charge, including meeting with a dietitian or a social worker. In addition, classes relating to mindfulness, movement and the expressive arts, as well as educational seminars and support groups, are offered to patients and their caregivers weekly.
